Very few creatives can say they had as strong a start to their career as Seth Rogen, with a key role in the cult classic TV show “Freaks and Geeks” (1999–2000) and a small but memorable side role in the twisted sci-fi thriller “Donnie Darko” (2001). From there, Rogen broke into the big screen comedy scene in unprecedented fashion, appearing in hits like “Anchorman” (2004), “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” (2005), “Knocked Up” (2007), and “Superbad” (2007). Those films became his trademark, and rightly so, with his iconic voice and look making him a standout superstar. He’s put that voice to good use in the years since, lending his talents to characters in “The Lion King” (2019) and “Kung Fu Panda” (2008), as well as voicing an alien in the “Invincible” (2021–) TV series and helping reboot the heroes in a half-shell with “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” (2023). Rogen has collaborated with plenty of directors and actors regularly, but none more so than James Franco, with whom he starred opposite in the likes of “Pineapple Express” (2008), “The Interview” (2014), “This is the End” (2013), and “The Disaster Artist” (2017). When he’s not playing silly roles, Rogen has shown his more dramatic side in films like “Steve Jobs” (2015) and “The Fabelmans” (2022), working with acclaimed directors such as Danny Boyle and Steven Spielberg. He’s even a hotshot producer now, operating behind the scenes on the likes of “The Boys” (2019), the latest incarnation of “The Muppets Show” (2026), and Emmy Award winning TV series “The Studio” (2025–).
