Twenty years ago, a natural disaster separated a family. Tyas and Yuni (Tyas mother) were separated from her father and sister, Mahdi and Hani. Eventually, Yuni managed to discover Mahdi's whereabouts, who was still alive and had married Wulan-a wealthy woman from the city. Tyas insists on finding Mahdi so that she can marry Gino. Tyas also asked Yuni for permission to find the whereabouts of her father and sister. Although it was hard at first, Yuni finally allowed Tyas to go. Along with her future husband, Tyas and Gino went to meet Mahdi. This meeting turned out to reveal a dark history between Gino and Hani. Five years earlier, they were involved in a relationship that left Hani pregnant. Gino refused to take responsibility and accused Hani of getting pregnant with another man. Mahdi immediately made the decision to marry Hani off to Dean to cover up his daughter's disgrace. Hani and Dean's marriage lasted until the child was born. Dean himself did not know that the child born to Hani was not his. Gino thought that his meeting with Hani could jeopardize his marriage with Tyas. He decided to get rid of Hani. Gino succeeded in doing so, Hani was declared dead in a car accident. However, good fortune was still on Hani's side. Hani was saved and cared for by a man named Zidan. Grieving over her sister's death, Tyas decided to postpone her marriage to Gino. She felt sorry for Aura, Hani's daughter who lost her mother.
