Sinossi

La Élan School, situata nel cuore dei boschi del Maine, era un istituto residenziale a scopo di lucro che offriva programmi di modificazione comportamentale e un collegio terapeutico. Adolescenti considerati delinquenti, che non avevano tratto beneficio da altri programmi di trattamento, venivano indirizzati alla scuola come ultima risorsa. Il trattamento prevedeva una rigida disciplina, sorveglianza costante, umiliazioni e veri e propri abusi. Anni dopo, i pazienti internati in questa struttura portano ancora il peso del trauma subito, con opinioni contrastanti sull'impatto che questa esperienza ha avuto sulle loro vite.
