Starring as Van in the critically acclaimed FX series “Atlanta” (2016–2022) helped launch the career of actress Zazie Beetz and also earned her a Primetime Emmy nomination. She went on to appear in the Netflix anthology series “Easy” (2016–2019) and worked as a voice actor in both “Invincible” (2021–) and “Big Mouth” (2023). She went on to voice The Crimson Paw in the animated movies “The Bad  Guys” (2022) and “The Bad Guys 2” (2025). Beetz led the Steven Soderbergh-directed mystery miniseries “Full Circle” (2023), her second collaboration with the director after appearing in the movie “High Flying Bird” (2019). Many will remember her starring role in “Deadpool 2” (2018), where she appeared as the character Domino, and her performance as Sophie Dumond in both “Joker” (2019) and “Joker: Folie a Deux” (2024). Beetz is no stranger to genre work, appearing in the Western “The Harder They Fall” (2021), the action comedy “Bullet Train” (2022), and the psychological thriller “The Dutchman” (2025). She appeared in the Gore Verbinski sci-fi action movie “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” (2025) in an ensemble cast including Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, and Michael Peña.
