Synopsis
Set in the early 20th century, the story follows Candice "Candy" White, a cheerful and kind-hearted orphan raised at Pony's Home near Lake Michigan. As a child, Candy forms a close bond with her fellow orphan Annie and encounters a mysterious boy playing a bagpipe on a hill, whom she dubs the "Prince on the Hill." This brief meeting leaves a lasting impression on her.
