Synopsis
A zany Mexican general reconquers the Alamo - just because he can
In this 1969 comedy, delusional Brigadier General Maximilian “Max” Rodrigues de Santos leads a ragtag troupe into Texas, claims the Alamo in a theatrical coup, and holds it hostage - all to prove his men will follow him anywhere. As US authorities scramble to negotiate, a peaceful yet absurd standoff turns into a comedic battle of bluff and bravado that pokes fun at nationalism, military control and bureaucracy.
