Karina Chimoto, who works at an advertising agency, is put in charge of a launch event for an adult ballet wear brand. However, when the scheduled dancer becomes unavailable, she is suddenly forced to step in as a substitute because of her prior ballet experience. On that very day, shaken by this unexpected accident, Karina faces yet another shock. Yumi Futagi, whom she met in ballet class at age six and who had been her closest friend for 20 years, suddenly declares their friendship over. Yumi has fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Unable to believe Yumi's declaration, Karina visits her home and the ballet company where she works, only to be flatly refused even a meeting. Confused, Karina wanders into a ramen shop and is stunned to find Yumi working. Stricken, Karina decides to enroll as a student at the ballet school where Yumi teaches, and even starts showing up at "Tameguchi," the ramen shop where Yumi works part-time. She tries everything she can to get Yumi to reveal the reason behind her sudden rejection, but will their friendship ever be restored?
