After returning from the Genting Temple, Wu Xie receives two mysterious videotapes from Zhang Qiling, sparking his curiosity about his uncle's past. In his quest for answers, Wu Xie becomes entangled in a complex conspiracy. He embarks on an adventure that leads him to the Golmud Sanatorium, where he encounters Zhang Qiling and others. Together, they form a team of six individuals with differing motives. Their journey uncovers secrets tied to the Zhang family's old manor, but they face obstacles from Qiu De Kao's forces. Guided by an ancient Lei family blueprint, they collaborate with Madam Huo of the Jiumen Sect to undertake a tomb raid previously attempted by the sect years ago. During this perilous expedition, Wu Xie is severely injured, and Zhang Qiling disappears, leaving the mystery unresolved. In the aftermath, Xie Yuchen proposes that Wu Xie impersonate his uncle to continue their quest for the truth.
