Synopsis
A semi-autobiographical story of a passionate sexual escapade between a young French girl and an older Chinese man in 1929 Indochina.
A poor French family lives in a rural area in French Indochina. Their daughter is a loner aspiring to be a writer. She accepts a lift from the son of a wealthy Chinese man, who has recently returned from his education in Paris. They form a strong chemistry, but know that their prospects for a future together are doomed since she has to eventually return to Paris and he is arranged for marriage with a wealthy Chinese heiress. They abandon any sense of commitment and shed all responsibilities to just live in the now and have a passionate sexual secret adventure.
