Gotham (2014)

Detective Gordan’s rise to power in the murky city of Gotham.

As a new recruit, Detective James Gordon is paired with a corrupt partner Harvey Bullock to solve a number of criminal cases in Gotham City, including the murder of 12 year old Bruce Wayne’s parents while a gang war brews between crime families.
It showcases his gradual rise from a rookie detective to a hardened police commissioner who has to navigate through multiple layers of corruption in a breeding ground of some of the most dangerous villains.
This show looks at the backstory for many of the main character’s from the Batman comics and movies.

Gordon must confront many of Batman’s future villains and is eventually forced to form an unlikely friendship with Wayne.
