The events surrounding Martin Gruber come to a head. Lena's husband Tom, of all people, is getting noticeably worse under Martin's medical care. Lena blames her new partner, Martin, who fears their love is in danger because of these accusations. The ill still-husband does not help the delicate situation between the two either, as he tries to win Lena back for himself. Lilli, Martin's daughter, currently poses another problem for the mountain doctor. In order to spend more time with her boyfriend, Lilli simply skips school, causing tensions in the Gruber family.
