Just like The Blair Witch Project, [REC] is one of the best found-footage films ever made. Set in near real-time, [REC] joins a news reporter whose simple night shadowing a local fire crew takes a nightmarish turn during a callout to an apartment block. The building is ground zero for a zombie outbreak and [REC] features plenty of carnage, bloodshed, stifling tension, and a bloodcurdling ending. No matter how many times you watch it, you'll remain on the edge of your seat.

A must-watch for zombie and found-footage films alike, [REC] taps into the magic of The Blair Witch Project, but gives it a 28 Days Later slant. With four films in the series, and an American remake, Quarantine, there's plenty more lore for [REC] fans to enjoy.
