Anopheles (2025)

The most adaptable survives. The Anopheles mosquito is the unwitting apex assassin of humankind. At the center of the world, in the remote African island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe, this eternal struggle is at an inflection point. A courageous group of individuals from the University of California Malaria Initiative (UCMI) are working in partnership with local communities to gain support for launching a first-of-its-kind modified mosquito release in the hope of eliminating the scourge of the malaria parasite once and for all.
