High-school drop-out Eddie Adams meets porn filmmaker Jack Horner while working at a nightclub. Being good-looking, charismatic and well-endowed, he quickly becomes a star under his new name “Dirk Diggler” and lives a carefree, luxurious lifestyle. But his increasing use of cocaine troubles him emotionally and professionally, and when a rival actor causes Dirk to be fired, his life takes a downwards turn.
