The elderly Elsie lives on her own in a small country house, cared for mostly by a nurse who comes once a day. But when her lonely young neighbour Colleen starts helping her around the house and with the shopping, Colleen eventually suggests that she can take care of Elsie all on her own. As Elsie becomes more dependent on Colleen, she realises the woman has plenty of secrets to hide, and may not be sound of mind.
