Synopsis
Two boys grow into masters of Kabuki theatre, enduring the beauty and pain of greatness
After Kikuo’s yakuza leader father is killed, he is adopted by a famous Kabuki actor. Growing up alongside the actor’s son, Shusuke, Kikuo demonstrates a natural talent for this traditional theatre art. While both boys evolve into famous actors, they undergo intense rivalry, jealousy, scandals, and successes that test them both and force them to confront what they will sacrifice for greatness.
