Rocky Dennis lives with a condition called lionitis, which causes his face to become disfigured from calcium build-up in the skull. His biker mum, Rusty, is fiercely protective, and he’s happy with the biker gang and his maternal grandparents. But when his mother tries to enrol him in school, he’s judged, as the headmaster tries to certify him as intellectually disabled. Despite cruelty from adults and children alike, Rocky continues dreaming of travelling the world with his best friend, and of finding love.
