A highly-evolved alien race defends itself against human violence

On the planet Pandora, the Na’vi people live in line with their natural environment and cultivate organic relationships with all living matter. Jake, a paraplegic Marine, arrives on the planet as an Avatar, allowing him to move freely and breathe what would otherwise be a poisonous atmosphere. He falls in love with a Na’vi woman named Neytiri, and his entire life is upended. But as war looms between a ruthless human force and the Na’vi trying to protect their home, Jake is caught in the midst of changing times.
