Mark is a high school senior who is preparing to head off to Princeton in the fall. In his final months of high school, he meets Carissa, a middle-aged widow, who quickly seduces him. Mark's own mother, Tanyam, who is also a widow, grows suspicious of Carissa and her intentions with her son. When she learns that Carissa's ex-husband was murdered, Tanya realizes she must protect her son from a dangerous woman.
